0 How To Root Xperia Z

Xperia Z is the sony's flagship device for the year 2013, The phone is quite awesome in its hardware specs and software as well. rooting will make this device awesome in all aspects including many mind blowing mods. Here is the most simple and easy way to root xperia z c6602 & c6603 models.

Things You Need To Begin :

• Xperia Z - C6602 or C6603
• Easy Rooting Toolkit v19 - Link
• ABD Drivers - Link

Check Twice before you proceed : 

• Make sure that your device is at least 75% charged.
• Back up everything you feel is important before you begin.
• Increase Time-Out time to 10min (setting>display>sleep)
• Enable debugging mode on your phone (setting>developer options)
• Enable unknown sources (setting>security)

Note : This method works on both locked and unlocked bootloader. the rooting method is compatible with following firmwares. (10.1.D.0.317, 10.1.D.0.322, 10.1.A.1.350)

Follow the Steps to Root Xperia Z :

Download and install ABD drivers if you dont have them already.

Download Easy Rooting Toolkit v19 and extract the zip files.

Connect your Xperia Z to PC using USB cable.

Exit the following programs if running on windows ( pc companion, sus, flashtool )

Run "runme.bat" file from the extracted "Easy Rooting Toolkit"

Wait for few seconds till you get the option “press the button to restore the data in your phone”

Now do not down your Phone screen, it will start an App automatically and Select Restore data.

You will see the message “if Restoring data is complete” in command prompt

Select the option “Service tests” in your phone operation

Now press the power button to turn off screen, wait for few seconds and press it again (repeat it a few times) and keep observing the command prompt for outputs

Finally you will see the messages like “transfer files to your phone part2“, “installing busybox,su,Superuser,etc…” & finally “Cleaning up“

Now your phone will automatically restart.
