8 Root Xperia Live With Walkman LWW 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.587 & 4.1.B.0.431)

How to root Xperia Live with Walkman 4.0.4 after the latest update of 4.1.B.0.587 firmware, this guide also covers how to root W19i and W19a on the previous 4.1.B.0.431 firmware as well.

Few steps to make backup of your contacts and messages & call logs as well, although this process is simple and risk free , we recommend it. Also backup your SD card as well on your computer.

What all you need before rooting Xperia Live With Walkman :
Sony Ericsson Xperia LWW
Latest Version of Flash Tool
Rooting Files
Xperia Ray Kernel  ( 4.1.A.0.562 ) (note the kernel used here is from xperia ray)
Xperia LWW Kernel ( either 4.1.B.0.587 or 4.1.B.0.431 ) depending on your present version.


Steps to follow to root Xperia Live with Walkman :

Step 1 : Ensure the following settings twice :

Settings > Security > Mark  "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode

Step 2 : Install the latest version of FlashTool from above download link and Copy the required kernels
C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares 

Step 3 : Run Flashtool  & Click on the flashing icon ( left side below "file" option)
Select flashmode > ok
Select the Kernel 4.1.A.0.562 and Click OK

And follow the remaining steps i,e: Connect the device while holding the lower volume button. the confirmation is the green notification light.
( Ignore all errors if you have followed the above procedure correctly )
When flashing is done , you can disconnect the device and restart it.

Note : your device will not boot now , just the screen will brighten up for a while, dont worry its just fine. proceed with next step after restarting phone.


Step 4 : Now Root Xperia Live with Walkman Using The following Method :
Download the Rooting Files from above links, extract the file. Connect your device to computer. ( we know it will not start as normal but still proceed. Run the run me.bat file and follow instruction.
Wait for the completion of the Rooting Procedure.

Step 5 : After Complete the Step 4 , remove the battery (don't restart , just let it off ) and connect the mobile to computer and again flash Kernel either 4.1.B.0.587 or 4.1.B.0.431 respectively ( don't flash both , just flash your version ) the steps are same as Step 3.

Now restart your Xperia Live With Walkman and enjoy rooting.
