Interested buyers can pre-book the Sony Xperia Neo L by paying a price tag of Rs 18,599 on a online store seller Flipkart. The expected delivery date of the device has been mentioned as August 7.This Ice Cream Sandwich running smartphone was announced in two colours – glossy black and glossy white, but the site listing shows only black on preorder for now.Sony Xperia Neo L features a 1 GHz Scorpion Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, along with 512 MB of RAM and Android OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box. It has internal memory of 1 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB through a micro SD memory card.
The device features a 5 megapixel autofocus main camera with LED flash, capable of recording up to 720p HD video at 30 frames per second. There is also a front-facing camera for video conferencing.
The design doesn’t look anywhere close to the new Xperia S, P and U that Sony has announced in the recent past. However, it does have a form factor that reminds you of the older generation Xperias. The Neo L doesn’t win any awards on the slimness front as it is 12.2mm in thickness as compared to the others that range around 9.2mm. In terms of features, the Neo L will have gesture control as well.
The phone features 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity along with a WiFi hotspot, micro USB v2.0, native USB tethering, GPS etc.
